Donaire's Wife, Rachel, saves drowning Kid |Hero in Hospital for Fetal monitoring
Nine-month pregnant Rachel Donaire, wife of "The Filipino Flash" boxing champ Nonito Donaire Jr., was admitted in a hospital on Saturday (PHL time) for "fetal monitoring" after she risked her life and that of her unborn child to save a drowning kid.
"During 4th of July, a friend's son disappeared underneath the water. Rachel didn't hesitate to jump in to save the kid but injured herself in the process," the four-division world boxing champion said on Twitter. "She moved so quickly it scared me," he added.
The next day, Rachel woke up with sharp pain which prompted the family to rush her into the nearest hospital. “Wifey admitted into ER for fetal monitoring. She’s full term but not due for another 17 days. Praying things are ok,” said Donaire through his Facebook page.
Fortunately, Rachel Donaire was only diagnosed with a strained ligament and the baby is safe from any form of injury.
Meanwhile, lawmakers will file a resolution to commend Rachel Donaire for showing heroism .
"The Donaire couple is truly a source of pride and inspiration for all of us Filipinos. This news that Rachel risked her own life to save another person's life is an exceptional display of courage and heroism," said Davao Rep. Karlo Alexei Nograles. Joining Nograles in the filing of the resolution are Iloilo Rep. Jerry Treñas and Samar Rep. Mel Senen Sarmiento. - Sunstar, ABS-CBNnews
Guys, the news isn't really about Rachel Donaire who saved the drowning kid, it's all about the politicians who quickly jump and squeeze themselves to be part of the headline news. This is very common in our country and DH.com bloggers don't have to say anything more just to justify what we want to point out here. :)
